Dreamhack Montreal is the major event for Shadowverse to be viewed by a mass audience. Echo Fox players, Cure Mango and Gengur, well represented the team throughout the weekend. Justin Wong came out to support the boys this weekend in hopes of taking home first place.

The mecca of fighting games came and gone this weekend. Upsets occurred and new blood rose to prove their worth in this current weather of FGC stars and legends. A new game is making its huge debut on the big stage with a Fox that has plenty to prove. Two other games featuring defending champions that wants to prove he is still the best in the world. EVO returned to the bright lights of Las Vegas for another year.

With EVO just around the corner, players are looking to gain momentum going into the major event of the year. Players from all over the world traveled to Birmingham, England for VSFighting 2018. Those players included Echo Fox players like Choi “Saint” Jinwoo, Kim “JDCR” Hyun Jin, Justin Wong, Momochi, Dominique “SonicFox” McLean, and Jon “dekillsage” Coello. CEO 2018 Recap

The road to EVO is almost at a close. Before the FGC heads to Vegas for EVO, the prelude starts at Florida for CEO 2018. It was a momentous event with the collaboration with New Japan Pro Wrestling. CEO is the first event where a wrestling organization teamed up with an esports organization. Together, they brought an NJPW house show to the event where NJPW stars such as Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, and Jushin “Thunder” Liger performed for the FGC. In addition to the house show, Echo Fox looked to continue their dominance in the FGC with top place finishes in CEO 2018.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite – First Impressions from Justin Wong

The latest iteration of the “Marvel vs.” series released on September 19th with Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Unlike Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, MvC:I features 2v2 combat, akin to Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes. New changes include the implementation of Infinity Stones. There are six Infinite Stones in the game, each one granting the player different abilities and buffs. These range from an increase to attack damage to adding elemental damage with each attack. Other changes include the replacement of the assist method. A new system called “Active Switch” replaces the assist method, calling in and giving you full control of your second character while your first character completes a maneuver before backing away. Current Echo Fox player and former EVO Champion in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Justin Wong gives us his thoughts about MvC:I.
