The Overwatch League’s leading team, the New York Excelsior, has announced that they have released their Director of Player Personnel, Scott “Bearhands” Tester.
I'd like to thank @NYXL for the opportunity to help build a founding team in the #OverwatchLeague. I'm really proud of what we've been able to accomplish, and I'm looking forward to the next adventure.

People who knew Scott Tester thought his role in the team fell along the lines of a GM. However, Rod “Slasher” Breslau reported via Twitter:
“Regarding BEARHANDS departure from NYXL, it’s worth noting that Farzam and Rohit from Sterling VC were the two men responsible for negotiations of players signed to the team and most recently Fl0w3r’s contract. Sterling Equities owns the Mets & NYXL. They are the real NYXL GM.”
There are no further comments from either NYXL or Bearhands regarding the release.
